This page sets up Mumble and Exile Voice proximity chat for The Caldera.
Normal Mumble can work even if proximity voice is not set up. Follow every step below.
You must be logged in with Steam so the website can give you your personal voice setup.
Log in with SteamIn Mumble, connect using the exact username shown below. Do not guess it.
If your name in Mumble does not match the name above, verification will fail.

This unlocks only after your Mumble username is verified.
WEB VOICE BETA Download exile_voice.ini onlyThe ZIP should include exile_voice.dll, your personal exile_voice.ini, README-INSTALL.txt, and INSTALL-VOICE-PLUGIN.bat.
In the Mumble chat/status area, look for messages showing Exile Voice or spatial audio is loaded, connected, linked, or transmitting position.
If Verify Voice fails: make sure Mumble is open, connected to voice.thecaldera.xyz:64738, using the exact username shown on this page, and that you right-clicked your own name in Mumble and pressed Register.
If Exile Voice - Spatial Audio is missing: extract the ZIP again, run INSTALL-VOICE-PLUGIN.bat from the extracted folder, then fully restart Mumble.
If the plugin says bad token: download a fresh ZIP from this page after verifying. Do not use another player's config.
If all sound disappears when enabling the plugin: disable the plugin, restart Mumble, check your Windows output device, then enable it again.
What to look for: in the Mumble chat/status area, look for Exile Voice messages saying it is loaded, connected, linked, or transmitting position.
