Caldera Voice · Push-To-Talk only

Caldera Voice Push-To-Talk Helper

This page creates a small AutoHotkey v2 script so you can use Caps Lock as Push-To-Talk for Caldera Voice.

Caps Lock is the official supported script option because it has been tested and holds correctly.

Setup steps

1
Install AutoHotkey v2

Use the official AutoHotkey website. Do not download it from random third-party sites.

2
Install the Caldera Voice PTT Chrome extension

The extension connects the hidden Chrome shortcut to the Caldera Web Voice page.

3
Set the Chrome extension shortcut

Open chrome://extensions/shortcuts, find Caldera Voice PTT, and set the shortcut to:

Ctrl + Shift + 9

Set it to Global if Chrome allows it.

4
Download the Caps Lock script below

Double-click the downloaded .ahk file to run it.

5
Join Caldera Web Voice and test

Hold Caps Lock to speak. Release Caps Lock to stop transmitting.

Important

Caldera Voice is Push-To-Talk only.

No open mic. Hold Caps Lock to speak. Release it to stop transmitting.

Mouse side buttons are not officially supported because they may time out through Chrome shortcuts.

Advanced users may create their own AutoHotkey scripts, but the official Caldera helper only provides the tested Caps Lock version.

To stop the script, right-click the green AutoHotkey icon near the Windows clock and click Exit.

Download official script

This script makes Caps Lock act as the hidden Chrome shortcut:

Ctrl + Shift + 9

Ready.
